646 Yishun St 61: Drunk Portugese Woman Dodges Fare, Bites Taxi Driver

Portugese beautician Paula Alexandra Aiyos Ribeiro was drunk and decided to hitch a ride with her husband, Myanmar national Aye Tun, from a taxi stand at Clarke Quay. Lee Chee Wing took up the assignment, but after arriving at the couple's destination, the duo refused to pay the $31.50 fare and nonchalantly walked off. Lee gave chase, obviously, but failed to convince Paula to pay even after threats of making a police report. The 45-year-old then began to hurl vulgarities at Lee, while the latter held on the her husband to prevent them from leaving. In a strange turn of event, Paula, who is a also a Singapore PR, grabbed his right arm and bit him.

The police soon arrived and Lee was eventually compensated by the couple. Paula was sentenced to two weeks jail.
